Latest Updates from Our Project:

April '23 Update: Monthly Check In, TCPG Final Hours!
about 1 year ago – Thu, Apr 20, 2023 at 07:04:01 AM

What ho, Adventurers!

Earlier this month we had our reward distribution for our jumpstart stretch goal, Stampede of Justice! If you haven't already grabbed it, check out that update and follow the instructions on how to get your redempton link from your Backerkit page it it's in your list of rewards. It's a lot of fun!

The team has collected all of the feedback provided on the jumpstart and is currently incorporating the errata and corrections and will load the finalized version to DTRPG once they've completed that task. Depending on how your DTRPG preferences are set, you may receive a notice from them when the final version is available, and you'll be able to download it from your library at your convenience.

Similarly, the team has worked all of the feedback for our Trinity Continuum: Adventure! book into the PDF, and it's currently in the Indexing phase. Onyx Path has an Indexer working through the book and fixing the "page XX" notations and building out the index. Once that's done, the PDF will be finalized on DTRPG and the team will begin planning the hardcover print run.

Trinity Continuum Player's Guide

Before I get to our monthly chart, I just wanna highlight our current crowdfunding campaign, which is in the FINAL HOURS!

FINAL HOURS to back this project

With just hours left, we've not only funded the book, but unlocked every Stretch Goal target for the campaign. So, at this point, I'm not looking for more backers to help us unlock any additional rewards.

BUT, after every campaign, I get a few dozen e-mails from fans who *just* missed it and are disappointed that they'll miss out on the draft manuscript or the bonus rewards. So I'm noting this one final time to ensure that this one hasn't sneaked past you.

Despite focusing on the contemporary Trinity Continuum, this book contains options rules (covering bits like momentum spends, static defense, and path advancement), new Gifts and Edges for Talents of any era, artifacts, vehicles, equipment, rules and structure for chases, conspiracies, and investigations, as well as guidelines for time travel, dimensional crossovers, planetary hopping and more) so you are certainly able to adapt bits from the book for your TC: Adventure!, TC: Aether, TC: Anima games.

OK, that's it. One final notice inviting you to join in if you haven't already. At this point, backers are able to read the entire draft manuscript, so you could be using these rules and systems in your game today, if you back now!

TRINITY CONTINUUM PLAYER'S GUIDE - FINAL HOURS! BACK NOW!

 Pending Rewards

With the Backer PDF of Stampede of Justice out to those who had it as a bonus reward, I'll probably slide it off this list for next month. The finalizing process outlined above will continue and it'll be in your DTRPG digital library and we won't need to track it any further.

Reward Distribution: Stampede of Justice - a Trinity Continuum: Adventure! Jumpstart
about 1 year ago – Wed, Apr 05, 2023 at 12:00:50 PM

What ho, Adventurers!

I'll be back at the end of the month with my regular progress update, but I didn't want to wait another 3 weeks to get this out to you. Because I've got one of our Stretch Goal PDFs ready for you!

Remember this Stretch Goal during the campaign?

Well, we crushed it (and so many more!). And now, I've got this reward ready to go out to backers...

Reward Distribution: STAMPEDE OF JUSTICE Advance PDF

There’s no such thing as impossible, friends — only things we don’t know how to do yet. But y’all didn’t come here to listen to me jawing. You came here to watch an amazing aviatrix take to the skies. You came here for Adventure!

Trinity Continuum: Adventure! is a pulp action game set in a version of the 1930s where Inspired — super-powered individuals — walk among their fellow humans. The forces that create Inspired don’t discriminate; people of all races, nationalities, genders, and classes are rising up. Unfortunately, so are villains. That’s where you come in.

In Stampede of Justice, you play as Inspired who have gathered to watch famed Black and Native American aviatrix Bessie Coleman’s air show. As an unknown force destroys her plane, it’s up to you to figure out how to save her and the audience, figure out who’s behind the plot, and bring them to justice.

Stampede of Justice includes:

  • Rules for playing and running a Trinity Continuum: Adventure! game, using the Storypath System
  • An exciting story for you to bring to life, chock full of intrigue, super-science, and punching Nazis in the face
  • Six fully playable ready-made characters, with backgrounds, motivations, and relationships with other characters

REWARD DISTRIBUTION

If this PDF was on your list of rewards, your link to claim your Trinity Continuum: Stampede of Justice Advance PDF will be sent out by our BackerKit pledge manager over the next day. Since we are using our partners at DriveThruRPG as the host for this, you will need to set up a DriveThru account if you don't have one already. If you encounter any problems with downloading your rewards, please contact DTRPG's customer service to resolve the matter, they've always been top-rated for customer service. http://www.drivethrurpg.com/contact_us.php

Again, you will receive an e-mail from BackerKit with links for this reward over the next 24 hours if it is on your expected list of rewards.

The easiest way to see if you've got digital downloads available is to login to your backerkit account:

https://trinitycontinuum.backerkit.com/backer/digital_rewards and it'll show anything available. Your backerkit account should also confirm all rewards that you should expect from your reward tier selected.

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://trinitycontinuum.backerkit.com/

ADVANCE PDF VERSION

This is the first version of Trinity Continuum: Stampede of Justice to be released. The design and development teams have done their best to proofread and correct any errors and typos - but some always sneak through. If you catch any typos, incorrect math, visual glitches, and the like, we want to hear about them and correct them before we send the book off to print.

With that in mind, I'd like to introduce the Trinity Continuum: Stampede of Justice Feedback Form!

Onyx Path has launched a special Stampede of Justice Feedback Form, which you can access here: https://forms.gle/6DFnCokZ4Myp8RFNA

Share your feedback directly with the Adventure! developers and designers using this form and help guide it through the next stages of production.

They are aware of the Page XX notations - those are left in to replace for the final version once any changes you've suggested are made, so they can reference the correct page if any shifts in layout result.

Onxy Path will keep errata collection open for the next few weeks. Please submit your feedback as soon as possible so the team can get on to finalizing this file - and working on our print version as well!

They won't be collecting errata from other spots, just this specific form.

After any needed corrections are made (based on your feedback!), they will prepare an updated final PDF version of the book and you will receive a notice from DrivethruRPG that you can re-download your file with the latest version.

You've already made the book a reality with your Kickstarter support. Now you can make it even better by helping us crowdsource any minor errors and corrections.

SO: Look for your reward email over the next 24 hours, or check your BackerKit page to see your digital reward redemption links. Review the advance PDF and submit any feedback you have, and let's make this book as awesome as possible!

March '23 - Regular Check In, TC Player's Guide Coming Soon
about 1 year ago – Thu, Mar 23, 2023 at 12:04:14 PM

What ho, Adventurers!

Spring has sprung (at least up where I am) and it's time for our regular monthly check in. No big announcements this month, but lots of little progress on many of the rewards that'll be coming to us over the next several months. Let's dig right in to our progress check in, and then I'll tell you about what's coming next for the continuum...

Our main reward, Trinity Continuum: Adventure!, is currently finishing up indexing. Once that's done, the Onyx Path team will be finalizing the PDF and you'll be able to re-download from your DTRPG digital library. At the same time, they'll be working with their printer to schedule the hardcover book for production. Related, they're also working on the reference screen, since that'll be shipping alongside the book when the time comes. From our Stretch Goal supplements, the jumpstart is currently in proofing and I'll have that for you as soon as it's all signed off! Hopefully before our April update! The Addendum book is in preliminary art direction, and the Danger Skies supplement has just started the early layout phase. Things are coming along nicely.

COMING NEXT WEEK

The Trinity Continuum Player’s Guide is a guide to playing Talents from the contemporary era and beyond. While this book is focused on the core rulebook and the games played there, the advice and rules found in this book can be used in any of the Trinity Continuum eras where Talents (daredevils or squires) are found.

This book is focused on the modern-day setting presented in the Trinity Continuum Core Rulebook. Games played in the modern era can follow many different genres, from action-adventure stories to heists, murder mysteries, crime dramas, office dramas, and beyond. While these genres are all different in their focus, they share a unifying theme that the characters involved are experts who are highly competent at what they do.

This book contains new information for Talents such as expanded secondary Allegiances and new Gifts. It also contains tips on how to run interesting chases, heists, investigations, and more.

Feb '23: Sneak Peek at Rich's Cover Direction, Monthly Check In
about 1 year ago – Wed, Feb 22, 2023 at 08:35:37 AM

What ho, Adventurers,

February, am I right? It's a fast month - it feels like we were just here. So no big changes for our projects quite yet. Our main book is working through the errata phase and is in Indexing, working on the next stages to prepare for PDF release and hardcover manufacturing.

RICH DESIGNS NEXT TRINITY CONTINUUM COVER

I'm a big fan of the branding and trade dress for the Trinity Continuum products, and love how they look side-by-side on my shelf. On the most recent Monday Meeting Blog, Rich shared his work on the cover direction for the next era coming to the Trinity Continuum.

Rich Says:

I’m working on the design and reference sketch for the cover of Trinity Continuum: Aegis, our upcoming game of playing during the collapse of the Bronze Age. As I do with these, I ask for notes from the devs that describe the major NPCs, character types, major places, antagonists, and events.

Then I start making very rough sketches to just generally get a feel for what sort of imagery I’m working with. We’re at that stage right now. Here’s a quick pic/peek of my sketch pages:

If you know the format for the TC books, you can probably guess that there’s a city way at the bottom, and something fiery/explosive at the top (and probably elsewhere, as well), and that we’ll have three PC type folks boldly striding towards the viewer. Beyond that, I haven’t really decided on placement or scenes. Now that I have these very rough ideas, I can generate how to work these moments into the cover – but even before that, I need to do more visual research!

I’ve got some existing physical places to look up. Bronze into Iron Age armor and weapons, Classical-era Grecian masks, robes, jewelry, what a ship like the Argo would look like comin’ atcha, and just how a certain famous advanced island civilization was described. So, not too much…

REWARDS STILL PENDING

No major changes in February. Our book is now in Indexing and early prep for evevntual print run and PDF release.

January '23 - Trinity Forums, Monthly Check In
about 1 year ago – Sat, Jan 28, 2023 at 11:56:15 AM

What ho, Adventurers!

After a fantastic finish to 2022, the start of 2023 feels a lot less adventurous. Last month, we received our Backer PDFs for the Trinity Continuum: Adventure! book that we'd funded on Kickstarter. This month.. well, I can tell you about the newly revamped Onyx Path forums and then share our regular progress tracking.

The Onyx Path Trinity Continuum Forums Are Back!

After breaking under the strain of awesome threads, the Onyx Path team have re-vamped, repaired, and re-organized their forums.  They work again! Feel free to drop by the Onyx Path Forums or the Trinity Continuum forum, with each era of the Continuum now having it's own sub-forum!

REWARDS STILL PENDING

Our main reward is now being revised and corrected to prepare for final PDF release and printing. This stage takes a bit, still, as they want to incorporate all of your feedback, but we'll keep tabs on it as it moves along the progress track. Next step is errata and then indexing, so keep an eye out for those. The Jumpstart adventure that we unlocked via Stretch Goal achievement during the campaign has also begun preliminary layout, so hopefully we'll see that in the near future. This information is all compiled from Onyx Path's weekly Monday Meeting Notes, and I'll share the project status with you each month until that final reward goes out.
